


We are always seeking volunteers who have a passion for history and education, who enjoy meeting new people from all over the country and around the world, and who want to contribute to preserving the heritage of the textile industrialization of America.
Areas of Volunteering:
- Visitor Services: Greeting visitors upon arrival to the museum and providing guidance during their visit. Assisting with gift shop purchases
- Tour Guide: Providing guided led tours of the mill village and museum
- Living Historian: Dress in period clothing of the late 1800’s-early 1900’s and provide historical interpretation and demonstrations
- Special Events: Assisting with general set up, overseeing display & information table, directing visitors and vendors, clean up
- Archival & Research: Assisting with the care and study of our artifacts and additional history of textiles
- Maintenance & Landscaping: General cleanup of the museum and outdoor properties, raking, painting, dusting, planting, and other related indoor and outdoor maintenance
